Although there are some interesting elements to the three Doctor Who episodes already released on DVD, I have heard some elements which will be put on future Doctor Who DVDs which I think will make them well worth the money it will cost to get them.
1) Some will contain all cut footage (ala, Remebrance of the Daleks).
2) Some will include blooper footage
3) Some might also include alternative special effects rendering -- so that you can watch the original edition or the new rendering ( Ark in Space is one that has this possibility from what I have seen).
4) Of course, many of them will have commentaries -- I heard the Remembrance of the Daleks one is quite good (it has not been released in the US yet).
There are also other features which are being worked on, depending upon which story. I also think it will be the best way to have some of the almost complete stories -- where the episodes which only the audio exist can be on the dvd as an episode, with various shots or clips, while keeping it within the sequence and not as an extra cd.
