I think they make the Ringwraiths seem a bit weak if a normal human (Aaragorn) can dispatch of them so easily...

But that is how it happened in the book. Are you criticizing Peter Jackson now for keeping too close to the book for that scene? Heck, in the book, Aragorn didn't even have to use a sword.

"There were five tall figures... Even as he swooned he caught, as though through a swirling mist, a glimpse of Strider leaping out of the darkness with a flaming brand in either hand."

No help from the Hobbits, and not even a sword. Just a pair of torches. If that makes the Ringwraiths seem weak, then blame Tolkien, not the movie.
