Subject: God and the "holy" scriptures

As I see it, if it is true that God has written or inspired the writers of the "holy" scriptures, then it is also true that God has communicated with people ever since, in their own language. That means that apparently only those people who cannot communicate with God, and that means their prayers aren't answered either, have to rely on copies of copies of ancient writings and on their translations, all of which may be way out of date and at least in part superseded by more recent communications from/with God.
