Subject: Deerstalker hat pattern

We are doing the same program. The closest we've come so far is a baseball cap pattern with ear flaps that can be tied or buttoned on top much like the deerstalker. We plan to add a visor to the back to mimic the deerstalker, perhaps shortening both visors a bit. The source (from our local public library): "Happy Hats and Cool Caps to Sew for the Whole Family" by Anne-Mette Hermansen and Tina Elnef, 1998, Lark Books, 50 College St., Asheville, NC 28801, USA.
ISBN (paperback) 1-57990-026-7
ISBN (hardback) 1-57990-075-5
Note: The patterns are in a pocket in the back of the book. The ear flap pattern is a little bit confusing; we think we found it in the "Inca hat" instructions.
