It's a little old, and a round about way of getting it, but I doubt that it is that far off or much different today:

This is a press release for the crew team, stating that they had an average GPA of 3.31 - the highest of any Colgate athletic team and higher than the school average of 3.06. Using that general area of 'average', it would seem that an average Colgate student, much less football player, wouldn't be eligible for All-Academic PL.

I'm sure we all claim this, but Colgate has notoriously tough grades.

Those numbers I posted do not necessarily mean a lot. What jumped out at me was that Bucknell clearly had the highest number of Honor Roll players and clearly had the toughest season. Overall GPA would mean more, but as 13 said, there are a lot of variables including how tough the school is on grading. I know that the Georgetown kids complain about that a lot and the Ivys have a reputation of inflating grades for image enhancement.

Bottom line is that I would be proud to have a degree from any of the Patriot League schools and I enjoy seeing my son compete with them.
