Subject: Week 1 PL Pick 'Em

Looks like there were no takers to run this, so I'll start week 1 and let's see where this goes.

I don't recall all the rules for scoring, but for this week players get:

1 point for picking the team,
1 point if it the pick beats the Sagarin rating, and
3 bonus points for an exact score.

Spreads below are Sagarin ratings, plus the home field factor, and are not wagering lines. (Please, no wagering...)

The contest picks close at 12:00 noon Saturday.

Duquesne Dukes (+6) vs Bucknell Bison
Colgate Red Raiders (+10) vs Massachusetts Minutemen
Monmouth Hawks (+10) vs Fordham Rams
Holy Cross Crusaders (-8) vs Georgetown Hoyas
Lafayette Leopards (-20) vs Sacred Heart Pioneers
Albany Great Danes (+17) vs Lehigh Engineers

This man runs one of the most complete and thorough unofficial college football websites in the country. I don't know if he knows what he's doing, but I do know that he's nuts! And we Georgetown fans are remarkably grateful!

I agree on the botanical issue of what we define as a nut. also, your predictions are very accurate imho except for colgate and monmouth. i think we are all greatfull that a hoya was mashuginah to take on the well paying task.
