Subject: Prizes for prelims, state or national pageants
In reply to: 's message, "What prizes do people prefer on the local, state and national level for pageants? What are some good prizes?" on 19:31:09 08/17/04 Tue

hello there. I think it really depends on what type of pageant you are wanting to have. there are some pageants say like the the Jr. miss program that gives a medallion instead of a crown/sash. there are some pageant/ programs that give huge crowns and trophies. As contestant I would like to see on the prelim level maybe medallions, or very small tiaras. maybe on the state level, appropriate size trophy, a banner, smalle crown, nationl level maybe a bigger crown. still keep a sash if thats what you want. I would say another think I have liked is having plaques. just anther option if you are wanting something for say talent, speech, ad sales etc... if that is something your pageant has. I think it doesnt matter what a person recieves at a pageant as long as they know they did there best. I have seen little kids be so excited over have a certificate or a small contestant trophy. it all depends on how you want to represent your pageant. best of luck if you are a director.
