Local newsstands can be, but I'm from Belgian, sometimes it is a little bit of a problem to get these magazines over here.
When you talk about the Königsberg I immediatly have to think of Carl Christiansen.
I went very often to Hungary the last years as I was involved in a number of projects over there. And I never took the time to look for some authentic WW I items, however I did visit their Military Museum and I was overwhelmed by the number of great items they have, however very little concerning WW I and the KUK.
I know the weapons problem. I did hang all my rifles, bajonets, marine cutlass, and other WWI Belgian sabres in my bureau. I have also started with a number of German medals and others such as the Beobachter, Flieger,... Abzeichen of the naval aviation units.
So we are both writing. I have finished a book on the Marinekorps Flandern and one on FLugplatz Jabbeke. For the moment I'm working on a few new ones. One on the 38 cm German naval guns that were used for the coastal batteries in Flanders and near the front, one on the remaining bunkers, trenches, craters and original landscapes of WW I, and there are plans for one on the coastal batteries of the Marinekorps Flandern, by using the KTB's, together with a Belgian collegue of mine.
I do hope that we get more correspondents, although I find it a pity that the Trenches on the Web forum is having troubles.
I also enjoy very often the aerodrome forum concerning naval aviation there are a few entousiasts on it that are quite well informed also.
VBR from Johan
