Max Pruss was a Steuermann during WWI. That means that he was either the Helmsman or the Elevator Operator. His service record (as much as I have) is:

L 54 16Sep16 - 19Jul18
L 72 1Nov18 - EOW

Obviously, he was a member of Butlar-Brandenfels crew.
