One of the things I didn't say in the article was to get too specific about the pants. I was looking for nylon or supplex, real light weight, quick drying, partly for sun protection, with zip-off legs. Found exactly what I was looking for at Bass Pro Shops, online. (The size chart runs a little small but the pants fit perfectly). Damn good price, too, about $22 IIRC -- hey, I don't get regular cotton work pants for that. I think I'm going to order another pair and a couple matching shirts. I would point out that Cabela's also has a pretty good selection of outdoor wear in big sizes -- you pay the price with them, though. They have similar pants to the ones I got from Bass Pro Shops, but not big enough.

Sent that other message and had another thought. In the original article I referred to a gal in Kansas City that makes custom wetsuits for divers, and now kayakers -- LiquidFit, which you've heard me refer to before. She's a diver, and the diving isn't the greatest, so I was very happy to learn that she and her husband have moved to Key Largo, FL and are doing some serious diving. She's even started kayaking!

Anyway, she sent me a copy of her new brochure. Sure enough, there aren't any size six models in that one. It's neat to see it!
