I am looking for advice or information on where to purchase an oversized spray skirt to fit an Old Town Adventure XL (19 by 45 inches when measured from outer coaming to outer coaming [numbers givin in Old Town's catalogue are incorrect]). Any suggestions are appreciated.

I had bought a skirt for the loon 100 which OT said would fit but with my size 46 waist and the seat leaned forward I had a lot of trouble. I went back to my supplier today and tried the skirt for the loon 138 on the Adventure XL. It fits a bit on the loose side but I am looking mainly to stay dry when upright not try to roll the kayak. This skirt has an aditional feature which suited me well, it unzips from the waist down the front about 2ft which makes it very comfortable around my waist and allows me to adjust the back of my seat without pulling the skirt off the back of the boat. This feature also makes for easy access to stuff inside the boat without taking the skirt off. If you try this skirt make sure you don't want a real tight fit, otherwise good luck.Bob

Hi,

Just wanted to thank you guys for info. My hubby, father and I just got our first kayaks (they both have the Adventure XL while I'm in a Scupper Classic) and my hubby has been looking at spray skirts but not much info for the Adventure XL. I will give your advice a try!

Thanks Again,

Melissa
