Wes: I made it up to C/D this Sunday and had them pull their Extreme off of the wall to let me try to sit in it. According to the price tag on the Kayak it is supposed to be an HV, but there is no markings on it that say that it is. Anyway when I tried to slide into the seat, it was a tight fit for my but. I then tried to fit my thighs under the braces and couldn't even get them close to fitting under the edge. If this is an HV, they must think everyone is a midget.
The salesgirl told me that they have a demo day in the spring that Current Designs comes to. She told me that if I let them know in advance they will make sure to have an Extreme HV there to demo. I signed up for their newsletter and planned on getting up there next spring to try one out. I have the benefit of not being in dire need of a Kayak that fits me, since the Telkwa works fine for me. Maybe by then I will be in shape finanacially to purchase another Kayak and be in the market also. Actually I would like to make my next kayak a kevlar one so that it would be easier to load by myself. I will keep seaching for just the right kayak for me in the mean time.

You might also want to check out the Current Designs Expedition, it has a bit more volume than the Extreme but I think it's only 22" wide.
The Kayaksport Viviane is somewhere between the Extreme and Expedition for volume. You might want to check that one out too.

I have tried sitting in the Vivian. I can fit in but my thighs were tight. The owner of the shop in Beulah said that they made different seats for the Vivian so that I might find it more comfortable with a different seat. I will probably try that out again this fall, when our kayak club take its annual trip to the Platte River to kayak with the Salmon.

Have you considered taking the seat out and making a custom foam seat? I know several people who have done it and they all prefer the homemade foam seat to the factorty seats in their boats. The seat would lower your center of gravity, so the boat would be more stable, and it would fit you perfectly since you would carve it out yourself.
