Chris I., thanks for your review, it was one of the reasons
I got on the track to try this boat. Was also great meeting
you today as well.

I'm really happy with this boat, it just feels right. The
backband as mentioned is pretty awful, so I'll be replacing
mine in short order. Just as the review said, this boat has
a nice playful feel, I'm a completely green paddler so I do
wobble about quite a bit yet, but I can already tell with
just a bit of practice this will be a very comfortable boat
to paddle. Even sitting around and playing with the lean in
it, I felt pretty comfortable. It is really responsive to
body language, and I like that too, now I just need to figure
out just what language my body is speaking and get it all
together. ;-)

I highly recommend this boat, particularly for its pricepoint.
If you are in the market, try one out.

Here is a pic of me in the CD Sirocco. The reason I wanted
to put this here is, this will be a wet ride if you are on
the heavier side. I weigh 270 give or take and take note of
the freeboard. I'm fine with the low ride, it's something
I actually wanted. Something to consider for those who won't
want to get wet.

Well, it's sort of a Greenland style boat, it's supposed to ride a little low. Didn't seem objectionable to me. Nice pic!

Spent some more time in the boat today, some notes.

I have a 36" inseam, the footpegs are on the very last notch
and it's a tight fit. It is tolerable but quite tight, I may
wind up making a foot block out of minicell foam as there is
about 2-3" remaining until the bulkhead after the last peg
position.

The backband is now confirmed awful, it won't stay put, keeps
sliding down no matter how I tension it. I have a Bomber Gear
backband in the mail now, looking forward to trying that one
out. Will add that info when I get some time with it.
