I've been looking for a good single used touring kayak which won't break the bank. I have recently come across a couple of deals that sound really good to me but don't know which to choose. I am 5'10' 260-270lbs and want to do more paddling. I currently own a wilderness systems palmico 145 tandem but want to more paddling and a single boat will get me out more. The two boats I'm tossed up over are the Prijon Yukon Expedition and the Perception Chinook. I know the Yukon Expedition is an all around boat and its 14.5 ft long with a pretty good weight capacity. The Chinook is 16ft long and more of a touring boat.

I plan on doing both lakes and river in upstate NY and Pa. I will try to test paddle them both but I'm not sure if I'll have time to try them before the auctions time runs out. By the way, it looks like I can get either one for less than $500. Does any one have any recommendations for me?
