I am also tall at 6'5" and had trouble with long legs and foot pegs that did not allow enough room. Got an excellent suggestion from one of the forum readers and when I went shopping for a new boat I talked to the shop about moving the front bulhead and removing the footpegs. This has allowed me plenty of leg room. Of course a chain type sporting goods store may not be able to handle this and I think it ran me an extra hundred but well worth it to get a boat that fits.

Thanks to you both for the responses. I was thinking of surprising him for Christmas but you've convinced me to wait until we can go test out some different things - it would be a worse surprise if I purchased something that didn't end up working out!
