Was her unfortunate daughter Cindy not close to Mike and Kirsten's son Henry? Looks like nothing came of that.
I'm a bit dubious about timelines here. Cindy had already graduated highschool by the time Brandy took up coaching the basketball team. Facing The Storm finished before Blue Beauty did - there was a reference in bb11 which made it clear that the all-conquering basketball season was over by then. All that together means Lisa's pursuit of Cindy should have taken place around the time Blue Beauty started.

It's not really a timeline issue. Cindy and Henry are graduated and gone. I may get back to them in a story and I may not.
We are in an area where several timelines from different books and series converge and I have had to be very careful with them. Suffice to say that BB picks up about three months after FTS ends. There will be other books and stories taking place in this constricted timeline. mostly focusing on other characters but occasionally integrating stuff we've just seen. I'll lift the veil of spoilerdom enough to say that DW6 only gets us about four months further along the timeline from the end of Blue Beauty.
I observed to someone this morning that what really has happened is that Dawnwalker has split into two different but intertwining story lines -- a Spearfish Lake side and an Arizona side. The Spearfish Lake side has gotten well ahead of the Arizona side and now we're going to have to go back and catch up.

You don't really think that will be a hardship, do you? Not!
BB was a great story, and it was fun to learn more about Myleigh and Trey. Congratulations, Wes!

Agree 200% with that, and hope that Arizona has plenty of Canyon and also a good representation from Lambdatron.
