In "Alone Together", Chapter 17, Jon and Tanisha are talking with Stan, Jennlynn, and Jim about the outcome of the 'Swallowtail" tests and negotiations, Stan talks about a possible contract to build the unit, he talks about:

"But if we do wind up with the contract, production won't really be an issue. I happen to know of a company in southern Michigan that's running out of a contract to build sonobouys for the Navy. They don't use them like they did when there was a Russian submarine threat, and the company is scrambling for business. They're used to doing production of classified stuff, the tech fit is real good, and they were real interested when we talked to them this morning, even though it's probably a year away from actual production work."

Have we ever seen anything else about this company, or could it be a basis of another story coming?

No, and no. It was just a throw-in.

Rats;

I figured it was a teaser for things to come. You have been known to do that at times :-) .

Wasn't Jennlynn originally just a throw-in as well?

Well, yeah, but a little more compelling. She grabbed my imagination. It takes a lot of throw-in details like that to make a story -- some of them lead elsewhere, most don't.
