It would be nice for the readers, of course, but I can only write and process stories so fast. At the moment I'm writing about three and a half years ahead of posting, and except for one year in the last four, I'm losing ground. I figure when I get down under about two years ahead, I'll actually have to cut back on posting. Obviously, I don't want to do that and increasing the schedule now would bring us to that point much more quickly.
I plan on semi-retiring in a couple years, cutting back to limited part time. Maybe when that happens I can get more writing done in hopes of maintaining the current schedule.
I should have mentioned it last night, but I failed to think about it -- it's interesting that the point where I ran out of the pre-website queue comes in about the same time frame as the millionth hit on the main page, another landmark worthy of notice.
