They still haven't caught up with Jon and Tanisha. This Navy system uses the direct power of a laser beam to burn a hole in the target. Jon and Tanisha's used a maser at microwave lengths to burn out the electronics. I know there have been experiments with this approach, but nothing deployable has resulted -- so far. -- Wes
