I did darkroom stuff for nearly forty years and toward the end it was a real pain in the neck to do it, so I was real glad to see digital come along. The last time I shot film was when I did my Grand Canyon trip in 2003; in those days water and digital cameras didn't get along very well -- and still mostly don't. The last time the darkroom at the paper was used for anything other than junk storage was when my daughter did a photography class in 2002.

I miss those days more than a little, but at the same time I'm just as glad that I don't have to do it.
