I haven't been to any of the museums out west, but I have been to Dayton twice. Your venue sounds like a good destination for a summer trip. One of the best displays at Dayton is a B-36 Peacemaker. They had to erect the building around it, that thing is so big it is amazing.

Corrections: The gull wing plane was a Corsair, not a chevy.

The twin boom Mustang was an F-82. The Lightning was a P-38 by Lockhheed.
