No. In going commercial, I can't allow free mobi/azw/prc or epub downloads to be available from other sources. If Amazon finds the story available in e-book formats available for less costs elsewhere, they will cut their price to match. I think I'm OK in continuing to have individual chapters on SLT, but we shall see. I've had to remove Rocinante and several other stories from SOL for that reason. I've got most of my SOL stories available through Lulu for a few bucks, and many were also placed through Amazon by Lulu. However, you may be different as you're in the US and I'm not. True, but Amazon is the 800 pound gorilla in this deal, so I pretty much have to work with them. Also, I got a notice from Lulu the other day that as of next month they will not be outsourcing books with Lulu ISBNs to Amazon, which I take to mean the gorilla did a little roaring in their direction. -- Wes [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

Amazon is killing the books on the Lulu MarketReach program and you have to be on the ExtendedReach program or the GlobalProgram for non Lulu handling, now. Not sure if I can do that as it means a heap of paperwork for bleeding US tax number. The IRS rules are very difficult me to fulfill. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
