Subject: Bullring Days - chapter 6 Author: K Pelle [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 02:06:36 03/23/12 Fri I never drove midgets in a bullring, but I drove stock cars on dirt and I love the descriptions in this chapter. I can almost smell the dust and the odours of exhaust gasses mixed with hot oil fumes. I can almost feel the sensations of a power slide as I recall holding the car on the outside of a corner, then the surge of adrenaline as I roared past a slower car when I hit the straight. I know this story was set in the late 40s and early 50s. When did you do your racing? Also, I wonder if there were racing teams similar to this one that went around the country putting on shows in small venues like the ones described in this story?
