It's not actually an inconsistency -- it's just that stuff happened in the conversation ends in Magic Carpet. I had to squeeze it in somehow and that was the only way I could do it.

OK here is my take on this. Sandy gets to the Red Light around mid week and Jennylinn comes in on Friday night. The conversation in Magic Carpet happens that weekend. Dayna finds out where Sandy is about a week an a half later and drives to Nevada where she meets The other two.
Wes I think it might be a little easier to clarify this way If you even want to bother right now.

OOPS MY BAD. Sorry Wes I didn't mean to sound like a smart a** in my last poast. I meant that with a new book getting a final polish before posting you might not want to think about this right now and put it off until you do a re edit sometime in the future like Dawn Walker. The way I posted was based on the time line of Jenn being at the Red Light every other weekend you had in MC and to me it seems to fit with minimal re-writing.

I went back and read Magic Carpet 15 and Hat Trick 29 back to back. In MC, the first ever Jennlynn/Sandy conversation is on a Sunday morning, in HT, the same conversation is on a Saturday morning. Minor, but easily fixable if/when one of these gets a revision. What actually bothered me more was that, a few hours after talking with her old high school friend Dayna, Jennlynn is said (in MC) to be thinking, not of Dayna, but of Dayna's friend Sandy. But mentioning the meeting with Dayna in MC would be too much of a spoiler for the ending of HT, I think. In that respect I really like the way MC and HT intersect: MC contains hints but not real spoilers about where HT is heading.

Wow, hadn't noticed the date inconsistency. I'll fix it sometime (too much to do today.) If that's the worst inconsistency I have where stories intercept, I'll be happy!
