We got hit hard by an ice storm a couple days ago. We have no power at the office and are lucky to have it at home. No internet, except for a very slow dial-up connection (28.8!) Until I get high speed back one place or another I will not be filling any download orders. You can order, but I will be unable to send them as I don't want to tie up the home phone line for long. For the same reason I'm not checking e-mail much. I hope to be back to something approaching normal by the weekend.

After living in Indinoplace for 40+years I can sympathise. Where you are they should have a much better recovery responce than where I live now. After Katrina it took almost three weeks to get power again. We were lucky about one thing though. We had satellite internet so as long as the genny had gas the out of state crews working to restore our power and phones could E-mail home no charge. Needless to say ours was the first house to get power again.

While we have been lucky regarding ice storms this year, I would love to have a connection as fast as 28.8kbps. My dial-up usually runs at 24Kbps, occasionally at 26.6. It gets frustrating at times.
