But don't go looking for the Baseball Man and waterpocket because it's fictional, not there. Actually Wes snitched the reference from a Tony Hillerman novel I think. There is an actual "baseball man" pictograph, but it's way upstream on the Navajo Reservation in a canyon of Chinle Creek near Mexican Hat, Utah. Chinle Creek is a tributary of the San Juan River that flows into the Colorado in Utah.

Wes changed it a bit in his description in the Dawnwalker series books.

I started At Lee's just to see what it is like. Awesome!!!. Gonna see if I can make the whole trip. At the third stop (if I counted correctly) the camera goes for a long hike up to a very nice waterpocket. Kinda early for the story but a good hike. No baseball man.
