Well, I'm getting more the same way every year, myself. Still paddle, but not the hairball whitewater. I've done a little winter camping, but not anymore. And our climate is nowhere near what yours was in Europe back when, either. One of the things I like about Wes's stories is the activities in them, the level and the range. Wes doesn't have any skating in his stories (yet!) except the disparaged hockey players that I've noticed so far. I've not played much hockey but did a lot of skating when I was a kid as we lived right on a small lake that froze in the winter. We moved from there when I was about 10 years old so I didn't get much in after that. Some but not much. I just prefer the liquid stuff.

Thanks for joining in.

Dmitri
