It worked that time. This is a heck of a deal, especially for it being this early in fire season. What happens when summer comes.

My daughter was just telling me she saw a story about a 16-year-old girl who rode her horse out of the place. Good kid -- and good horse to listen to its rider rather than freaking out.

Unfortunately it might be even worse here in BC than Alberta, not that towns are burning here, but I understand they've ordered the evacuation of a couple of towns in the last day or two. As of yesterday we had something like 85 wildfires burning across the province. That's twice as many as we had last year and that season was worse than the year previous.
It's so bad that we don't have any firefighters or equipment to spare to send to Alberta to help out at Fort Mac. which is not normal.
