I just finished reading this story for the third time. If you have enjoyed Wes' previous stories, you should enjoy this one too. Whether on a boat or raft or in an airplane or train or behind dogs pulling a sled, Wes writes first-rate stories with interesting characters. This story is no exception.

I had to wait a little while to post, so I wouldn't echo Rachael by startin with "Wes, you bastard!". I'm joking of course, but there were times it was painful to read about someone's sailing adventures while I was dealing with a balky engine on my boat (the engine is an Atomic 4, a flathead design dating from the 40s). But now it's running like a top and we finally got out on Monday and did a little sailing.

So now I can say, "More please, Wes!"

There are several more books in the series. Now, it may be a minor spoiler, but the subject of balky Atomic 4s comes up in a couple places.

I'll be looking forward to those just as much as I looked forward to more of the Bullring Days stories, since I've enjoyed sailing for almost as long as I've been an auto racing fan.

And thanks for the spoiler. There's nothing that brings veracity to sailing tales than a balky Atomic 4 (although when mine is running well, I love it).
