Well now: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakuhachi There just might be a tribe of 'whistle' blowers out there.

That's one heck of a tribe. From Japanese whistle blowers to Three Pines to north Florida.

Why north Florida? Because in Chapter 10 of Part III of Rociante, Mark and Jackie lived on a houseboat on the Shakahatchee River while they were working in Twillingate.

I figure the the extra "e" got added on in the long trek south.

I gotta be honest -- I originally came up with the name from an attempted phonetic spelling of a Japanese musical instrument I heard on "Music from the Hearts of Space" some years ago. I didn't want to run the risk of offending anyone by trying to make Debbie a part of any real tribe, so I made up my own and the name seemed to fit. Writer's license, and all that!

I figured something like that - which is why I went looking for something that sounded right, but was totally different than a real tribal name - lol.

Besides, I think you have a real 'thing' about music and items which are musical in some way or another - that and classic literature.
