One of my editors took issue with the line about Gus disdaining modern test equipment, but that was how I remembered a particular story from years ago.

Just a little bit curious about it, and having nothing better to do at the time, I decided to google "Gus Wilson Model Garage." To my amazement, there is a website that has ALL of the Gus Wilson stories archived! All of them from the 1920s though the late 1960s!

And, from having a good idea of the date, it only took me about two minutes to find the exact story I was thinking of -- from 1959!

You can find the damndest things on the Internet . . .
