Maybe this had been dealt with before. I decided to google the celtic harp and came up with some interesting information that might affect the story. Although I realize that this far into the writing it might not be practical and we'll just run with what is written.
Blue Beauty is described by Myleigh as a "Solid Body Electric Harp" All of the descriptions of solid body electric harps I found describe them similar a solid body electric guitar. That is that w/o powered amplification they make very little sound on their own. This seems very counter to all of the descriptions of the dorm room and living room performances that Myleigh and Randy did throughout Dawnwalker.
I think what Wes wanted was a an electro-acoustic harp, which sounds like a normal harp, but comes with the amp pickup like mahy acoustic guitars allow. Sorry to bring this up, but maybe I am reading things wrong
