Wes,

I noticed at typo in Blue Beauty Ch 5

"Jennifer had been fidgety for months; although the pregnancy was going as well or even better than expected, it was new and unexplored territoru for her, too."

I've really enjoyed all your stories.

Wes,

I appreciated the shout to Jim Varsos you implied; he has written a wide variety ranging from Bristlecone Pine to Fishing for Chickens to his X-rated version of Old McDonald's Farm.

There are a couple of other minor typos, but nothing that interferes with the story. Here are the details:

"...but with the exception of the taping of Saturday Nigh,t it's always been very..." the comma needs to move right one character.

"...but I shall defer to your superior judgement," the first 'e' should be omitted.

This is shaping up as a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing it.

One of the things I really enjoy about reading Wes' stories (as well other authors) is the exposure to interesting places, interesting pursuits, and interesting music. A set of stories on SOL got me back into surf music, and I imagine I'll be hunting down some Hobo Jim music.

Thanks!

Good, we've got some Hobo Jim fans on here! Steam Train John is quite obviously modeled on him and I hope I managed to fuzz it up a little.

Bristlecone Pine -- if that song doesn't reach out and grab you nothing can. I sure would like to hear Myleigh perform that!

Some of the most fun evenings I can recall is sitting around the back of Audie's in Mackinac City listening to Jim play. I can tell some stories!

One of my favorite Hobo Jim songs is "Iditarod Trail" (can you imagine that?) "Lady Lee" is another great favorite. The concept of Jenny's "Dawnwalker" can actually be traced to another Hobo Jim song, "The F/V Mary Ann". When you get to novelty songs, "Dramamine Fisherman" will make a brief appearance in a future story if I don't edit it out. And then, if you want to get right down to the nitty gritty, "Sarah, Sarah".

Those of you that aren't familiar with him don't know what you're missing.

FWIW, "Lapsand Sochong" is usually spelt with a "u" - "Lapsang Souchong". Bing only shows 8 hits for the former, as opposed to 162,000 for the latter.

I'm not sure "tang" is the right word either, much too subtle a word (for the LS I tend to drink anway :-) )

Spell it however you like it. It is a great tea. I love to offer it to someone who has never smelled it before. I let them have a whiff of the dry tea and watch their typical reaction, "That smells like old telephone poles!"

Yep, it makes a good cuppa!
