Oh really Terry, so anyone who doesn't agree with your point of view is an idiot?
I didn't read that as hate filled. I read it as a different point of view about the Hollywood royal couple. Not everyone falls for their "We am great" PR stategy. Some people see through all their presonal hype to promote their movie.
I heard that next on their self promotion is to use their youngest daughters first birthday and exclusive pictures from it to promote The Mighty Heart just before it opens. Speaks volumes about their so called talent and i am sorry Terry, I have lost all respect for the man I believed Brad to be that he uses his family, and his children, in such a manner to promote his work and his wifes. That is tacky and tasteless in how far they will go to make sure their movie opens successful. They preach, this is about finding love instead of hate. The general public needs this Hollywood couple to remind people of that because they are so much better for traveling the world and noticing the less fortunate from their private planes and mansions in the Hollywood Hills. *eyeroll* It's as bizarre as all the politicans singing God Bless America after the attack on Sept,11. When they break all the rules daily and don't even begin to follow God's laws in their everyday life to stand and sing, protect us from evil and hatred.
Brad and Jolie talk too much about the message in this movie, if it is there, people will find it on their own. They don't need it to be dictated by a couple who isn't any kind of role model for the world with the manner that they live their life. Jolie's biggest problem is that she buys into her own hype. She isn't a messiah, she isn't a role model for generations to come. And it baffles me a great deal that they would try to feed that crap to the public and to think that people would buy it.
These two are a stunning couple when it comes to appearences, I will give them that. They have a beautiful family and have found the ultimate love with one another. Welcome to the real world, lots of people find that with their mate, they aren't special anywhere but in Tinsel Town and I am sorry, but, with the standards that place holds, that isn't a huge accomplishment.
They go too far promoting their movies and in my opinion, it shows them as desperate and lacking in real talent. Everytime Jolie has a movie to promote, we see her visiting these third world countries helping the less fortunate. Far as i am concerned, she uses that to gain attention for herself and her craft, and now, she has all these children to use. It floors me that people don't see through her, it floors me that Brad goes along with it. Speaks volumes about these two and their real motivation in everything they do.
They live their life as they want, can afford to buy anything they want and think they will shine like the brightest star in the sky concerning their life, their movies and their honor. Only problem is, have they really ever had anything tragic happen to them that would cause them to find deep hate? If not and it would happen to them, could they find forgiveness and reach for love instead of hate? Obviously Jolie can't because she is estranged from her own father. I hope Brad is lucky enough to never find out what that feels like. he has been very fortunate through the course of his life to never know. God help him if he ever has to. We know she would choose hate and seek revenge, because she does so with her father now.
I guess if they are so confident to send such a message, they are prepared to live it when it happens to them and really make a statement to the world about finding forgiveness. Not a test or obstical I would want to come face to face with but, I thank God everyday that I have never been challenged by such a situation.
For me, the people who make a real impact, over these celebrities who most times steal their light, is the Amish people whose children were killed in the schoolhouse shooting and they chose to forgive and cook meals for the shooters family and pray for him instead of reaching for hate. But no, those people don't get to make a statement because we have these celebrities stepping in front of the camera to make their statement. Just isn't the same, and couldn't have the same impact in this life or any other.
That is why I don't like these true story tragedy's, because it appears Brad and Angie are trying to live it in their own life, especially with the manner that they present this movie to the public. Brangelina completely over shadows Marianne's story and Daniel Pearl, and worse yet, they skank it up by feeling the need to make out in the back of their car for the public to see. Ugg that was so very tacky and is complete stupidity to overshadow this movie and it's message with it. In the end, everyone is going to have their own conclusion to the message this movie sends and that is how the actors and actresses should leave it, But, instead she wants to preach it, as the actress in the movie. Umm, I say, step aside Jolie, let Marianne Pearl preach it, she is the one who lived it. I can't imagine she could ever fall into character as Marianne, and if she does, the manner in which she has promoted it, has overshined her. But, that is the way it has to be, Jolie always has to shine the brightest. Funniest part is, when Marianne and Angie were sitting next to each other, the true beauty there was Marianne, she outshined her by a mile, just in her appearence. But, you think anyone noticed that? Hell no, it was all about Brad and Angie and how beautiful they are together. Just so ya know, for me, Marianne and Adam, outshined both of them. Her child is beautiful and God Bless her for finding the strength to get beyond it. I hope she can find peace in every aspect of her life, including all Daniels love for his parents whether he expressed it or not.She should pass that onto her son too.
I know, I am bad for speaking out about this because The Mighty Heart is a Plan B production and we want it to succeed for Brad's sake. But, I can not and will not rant about how great the message is when it has too many mixed messages it sends. I can't and I won't do that.Sorry.
