LOL Mystie, Rachel was in junior high when we came to NY. How many years has that been? I think 5 years this summer because she was turning 13 when I took her to NY. So that makes her 18 on July 13. Time goes by quickly.
My son just graduated this year. He is working full time for the summer and probably will take a few classes here in the fall. He has a few different directions he might take but he has time to decide.He is making really good money right now and I think he loves that independance.He is thinking of joining the Marines Corp. But none of that is going to happen until we get a change of leadership, so we shall see who wins the next election. From the depths of my heart and soul, I know, my son would make the most amazing Marine but I can't help but be the protective mother when it comes to my first born. I visualize such amazing direction for him if he takes that path. Really is bittersweet with the world we live in today.Keep him in your prayers.
How cool that you still have your special man in your life. Ya know, more likely that Rachel will return to NY before I do. I can picture her and Ryan, (that is her boyfriends name) making a trip there together then they could go see all the historical sites that I didn't do with her. i was thinking of taking her to New Orleans for her 18th birthday, she has been wanting to go there since it has such a taunting history but, now that she has a serious guy, she has cooled on doing that with me and wants to go with him, which is fine,I am glad they share that in common.
Maybe you will hook up with her again before you see me.
Have fun on your trip next week and be safe.You know me, if i ever travel overseas, it will be to Lebanon even though everyone tells me I have completely lost my mind. That is ok too, terror isn't going to stop me from seeing the land my ansesters spoke so highly of.If you go there, let me know I will join you cause otherwise, I will be going all my myself. That is the last place most people dream of visiting.
