Gwyneth Paltrow has officially quit her status as a movie star, so she can devote her life to her kids.
The Shakespeare in Love Oscar winner insists she ceased to be a 'movie star' when she gave birth to her first child, Apple, in 2004, and the priorities in her life changed.
Now she's content to make just one film per year, and spend as much time as possible with husband Chris Martin, Apple, and two-year-old son Moses.
Paltrow says, "I haven't starred in a film since my kids were born, and I don't think I will. I'll never get these days back - they're so delicious and precious, and hilarious, I don't want to miss them."

Darlin, you did that when you broke up with Brad Pitt. But, if it makes her feel better to dump it before it dumps her, so be it.
Makes me chuckle, the Oscar winning movie star that she is. When was that movie she won an Oscar for? I seriously can't even remember back that far. They sure like to throw that award around to keep them at movie star statis. Also funny, she is only going to make one movie a year. *eyeroll* That isn't really quitting, is it?
These celebrity women would never have to work a day in their life if their children were so important to them. Baffles me when they make a press release they are done. Just leave, why tell anyone. With time they will just fade away, but, I think that is their biggest fear. Beyond their love for their children.
