How could #2 Annie win first place?!?! Her lips are screwed up and i bet her money and 'daddy's connection' got her first. #6 second?? that's just not right! Annie is not going to win MCI and she's not going to get anything out of it, unless... 'connections again'
The pageant this year is really not fair! People who deserve to win don't. I definately don't agree with the results... They obviously just f***ed up their chance to get MCI third in a row.

My comments on each contestant's performance:

1. She was fierce on stage! This girl really wanted to win; I thought she deserved to win something.

2. Annie was the best choice for first place. I beg to differ to those who don't believe she has a chance for MCI. She has a great face, attitude and personality.

3. Spunky all night! A great performance.

4. One of the best looking delegates who was a bit nervous that night.

5. A tug-a-war for Miss Talent between Sarah and Olivia. She was very poised and elegant on stage.

6. She deserved all the awards she had received that night! I had her in top 3 without a doubt. She smiles naturally as she wants to, not as she has to.

7. I think she worked very hard and her performance was flawless.

8. Another bubbly, fun delegate.

9. This girl has an irresistable personality! Too bad she didn't win anything.

10. One of the best looking delegates who was a bit nervous that night.

Overall, the juding was fair this year. Congrats to ALL the contestants, you're all winners!

The "La República" newspaper from Lima, Peru (Dec. 31, 2002 edition) reports that a local girl named Patty Wong will be competing in Miss Chinese International. She's a television hostess and is the first Latin American to compete at MCI!



She leaves Sunday for HK and Harbin. Read the article in Spanish in Miss News.

Subject: I don't know about you guys, but after watching the show I feel like #4 and #9 were the most underrated girls in the pageant! I thought they were both very beautiful! Sure they didn't have the winner's look, but at least second or third?

Oh wow, I guess beauty is not the only factor in deciding for MCV ? Anyone know the criteria for winning MCV ? The winner Annie and Alice looked great I guess, but without their make-up they look just ok, some of the other contestants had way better looks. I thought #1 was the prettiest, one of the tallest with an awesome body to boot. #3 deserve her place, maybe 1st runner up even, #4, #7, #8 are quite cute in person, just dont like their profile photos. #5 has the perfect ass, very fit, she has a very cute face, her height is the only liability. #9 is HOT especially with her talent shaking her stuff in that red dress. #10 has the prettiest smile and very cute eyes, she also is sooo cute. I wonder if she is seeing anyone right now hehehe

Last year was definetly better than this year. Both in contestants and stage. I hated this year. Only #6 looked mature and pleasant. Besides that, Shirley (last year MCV) was much prettier than Annie. Annie didn't look nice at all. I wouldn't pick her. Why not send Shirley again if they have to send the no good Annie?

C'MON PEOPLE! the finals are less than a week away! Why don't u wait till u've at least seen their performance b4 u make nasty comments? I know I'll be accused as another one of the girls but- i'm a guy and let's just say, I was at a place the girls have come in frequent contact with and no "bad apples" stood out. (Definately no one bad enough to be called bitch). They all got along great. The only thing I've heard from certain people working with them is #2 is a pain in the ass, #9 is a loudmouth & half of them is ready to pass out from dieting. I mean honestly, don't those 'rumors' sound like it could have possibly started from another contestant to make the other look bad? But i doubt that, since they probably don't have the time with finals on Sat. No need to bash or accuse me, wanna know if the rumors r true, go talk to a sponsor.

The tcikets are $180......too expensive imo. I rather go to the Miss Chinese Toronto show which I did Anyways, #3 isn't as pretty as she looks....I was very surprised. Haha......maybe she will win the photogenic award? #3,4,9 is mixed (I think so) #2 looks thinner than ever. Compare to her pictures, she look nice. My mom said she's her favourite #10 doesn't look that beautiful after all #8 doesn't look like Vivian Lai maybe a little. Haha....#3 reminds me of Judy To because she said her most beautiful body part is her smiling eyes #4 might hit the jackpot if she was taller

My Prediction:

1st- #2
2nd- #8,7
3rd- #4 or 3

Haha......#2 is very pretty Too thin imo.

Best Weight for height (Healthiest):#1,10, #7(looks thin through), #8 ( now I find Victoria Jane very thin compare to these girls)

I was surprised that #3 was the only one under 100 lb.

Majority of this years contestant is mixed (???) with Russia, Viet., Spain, Italy and France. There is one more but since my chinese is average, I am not able to translate it in chinese If you find that piece of information wrong please tell me because only #9, #3 looks mix! I am so surprised!

And there is this map thing (???) that you have to place the contestants number into. I am confused but it's a map of Vancouver There is my favourite Vancouver Public Library......reminds me of Ancient Rome because of the way it's built. Science World, Chinatwon, Gastown, Stanley Park, etc.

This is a place where we all can exchange opinions about pageants. We are suppose to be gossipy and judgemental, even if we can't spell or write english. No one is perfect, just like the pageant girls themselves. They put themselves up there to be judged (duh)! Don't come here if you don't want to be part of it (duh duh)!

The Sunshine Boyz 2002 Pageant was held locally in Vancouver celebrating male beauty, brains, charms, and talents. Ten finalists competed for the title. You can see the results at these sites:

I thought it was going to be such a "gay" pageant but it was classy and fun like Mr Teen Singapore. The audience apparently had a great time since I was there. My predictions were:

Winner: #1 Lawrence
1st Runner-Up: #3 John
2nd Runner-Up: #8 Acer

I was pretty content with the actual results. What do you guys think about the contestants?

Okay, to get this message relevant, they will appear in the MISS CHINESE VANCOUVER PAGEANT 2002 as special guests. I heard that the ten boys will dance with the contestants; I hope they will partner up :)

Who do u think u r saying "you should really thank me..." and what r u talking about judging the girls/results like that?? i don't know where ur eyes r but i think all the girls are pretty in their own way and it's not fair to say who's worst and who's best. i'd be embarassed to support u 'cause i think u've not only got ur info messed up, but ur predictions backwards, from ugliest to best-looking, and no,#3 is NOT half-viet and #9 is NOT russian, i don't know why anyone would support ur opinions since u don't even got ur info straight! u need a head-check!

that she's got low self-esteem or somethin' what's up wit those #'s? don't know about you but why would predict #3,#4 last unless maybe you feel bad about yourself and you don't want to support someone better looking than yourself? not that the people for 1st or 2nd are ugly or anything but really, no one's predicted 3 or 4 for last place and it's not fair you diss her openly...

I chatted with Christie Bartram and her boyfriend very briefly after tonight's Miss Chinese Toronto show (both are extremely sweet and personable), and Christie's next pageant is .... TUESDAY night! She'll be trying to be one of the five finalists for Western Ontario for Miss Universe Canada 2003. She attends university in the region, so she qualifies. GOOD LUCK, CHRISTIE!

I'll be there on Tuesday, and I'll report back early early Wednesday morning.
