Say, does anybody know if any of the high-schools or universities or something, in the Chapel Hill area, will allow a member of the general public to come out and run their bleachers?

If not, for anybody who has done that before, did you call the school and make arrangements ahead of time? Who do you ask to talk to if so... the principal, the athletic director, or what?

Thanx in advance...

Ok, somebody has to know the answer to this! :-)

I know there are stadiums at places like UNC, Duke, Chapel Hill H.S., East Chapel Hill H.S., etc.. but I dunno if they let people come out and run on their steps or not...

Anybody got any thoughts?

Just go up there and start running. As long as the facilities are not in use, it shouldnt be a problem at UNC or Duke, college campuses are usually open, and they wont say anthing to you, unless you are causing trouble or something. The highschool campuses are a little different, I dont think they let folks come on school grounds during school hours, but you should be able to when school lets out.

Thanks... I actually went out to UNC today to check out Kenan stadium... it was all locked up, but there were signs up saying "Stadium closed from 11 pm to 6 am daily".. so I guess that it's open all during the day, except on weekends...

Of course, even though everything was locked, there's at least one place were one could hop over the fence with minimal effort, if one were so inclined.. and there didn't seem to be anybody around, so if one wanted to run there on Sunday, they could probably get away with it...

I gotta get back in shape first... this is why I need some bleachers to run! You think I run bleachers for fun or something? Like, just because it's cool, and everybody's doing it? You think I think chicks dig guys who run bleachers? You think I wanna fall, trip, bust my ass, and eat aluminum just because it's a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon????

LOL... anyway, yeah, I'll try to make it over there and roll w/ you guys some someday soon. I'm going to start training again once this school semester is over. Things have been a little weird lately, but I'm getting back into it (BJJ / Sub-Grappling) in some fashion or other...
