As some of you may or may not know, North Carolina is doing its 1st Professional MMA Fight at Harrahs Cherokee Casino on Oct 27th.
The Headliner Fight will be Josh Neer vs Nick Sorg
We will also have Spencer Fisher there as well
As for the rest of the fight card, it will be a team concept. Team N.C. vs team GA.
On Saturday the 22nd at American Brutality Inc. in Goldsboro NC, One of our match makers,Anthony Macias will be there talking with fighters from N.C. and putting the NC team together there.
I know its short notice but we want to have the best team possible representing NC so if you guys have any fighters that think they have what it takes, please send them.
We are looking for 9 guys total.
They will be compensated and will be fighting the 1st Pro event in NC along with Neer, as well as representing NC. There will be more NC fights with this team

Are all the fights on the card professional fights? I ask because its odd to me a professional promoter would ask professional fighters to commit to a professional fight with less than a month's notice.
One or two I could see, but 9? Reeks of a "be first pro MMA event since it got legalized" sort of thing to me, rather than an attempt to bring honest MMA cometition to a state that is willing and ready for it.
If I am wrong please explain a bit more on the short notice.

Could the "MAD DOG" match himself up against Dan Severn? It would be a great re-match and Dan will likely fight on 3 weeks notice.
I had heard from Clyde waaaaaay back many months ago about this. He was asking for Pro ONLY fighters for this event. But he sound interested in and wasn't gearing the event for NC fighters to come out. And discussed creating a NC team.
I followed up with him. But he never sent me any further info or such....I figured it to be a dead issue.
It's NOT cool to be looking to NC fighters to jump up as official representatives of the state on such short notice.

Hey I saw this when I was searching for some Judo Events for my son to compete in, and looks like the present US Judo Pres Ron Trip and US Judo's Patrick Burris is a part of C3fights that is doing this event??

I still haven't really heard anything about how this event went. Am I looking in the wrong place? Was it a good start for MMA in NC? What was good/bad/etc?
