This guy is a 3rd degree black belt under Joe Moreira. Has anyone trained with him, or attend his classes?

I have and, he's actually a 4th degree blackbelt. His belt lineage is from Joe Moreira. He's a fantastic instructor and, you'll figure that out quickly when he explains how to perform various techniques and, you're left wondering why no one else has mentioned that your hand does this, or your hips do that, or how to really apply pressure when you're doing several smash passes you'll learn.

In your first few classes you'll learn close to a dozen guard passes, their counters, how to capitalize on guard passing mistakes, the judo pins and, how use them to stay in a dominant position, etc. You see the same things frequently, along with new techniques and, variations. The moves seem simple, but very effective. His enthusiasm for his art is amazing and, he'll work closely with everyone in class to make sure they understand what he's teaching. The last 45 minutes of class is rolling and, he wants everyone to roll at least 3 times (10 minutes each.) His students are ego free and, very helpful when training.

If you live in Alamance, Orange, or withing driving distance of Mebane, come check him out. I think he'll soon be the top guy in the area for BJJ. He doesn't have contracts and, his top monthly price of $100 gives you 3 weekly gi classes on Monday, Wednesday and, Friday, along with a no-gi/open mat class on Saturday. He charges $15.00 for single classes, but the first one is free.

Here is his web site:
