Spoke with the tournament director and he has set it up so that all the ju jitsu guys competing on Saturday can now register on-line. He is encouraging all competitors to register on-line for their divisions. This also includes being able to pay for the tournament. If everyone can go ahead and register we can have the brackets done ahead of time and have things running smooth on Saturday.
TO REGISTER FOR THE TOURNMANET GO TO www.ncaauw.org
Click on register Season Tournaments at the bottom of the first page. Then click on NC AAU Season Tournamennts. Next, click next to Tournament on the down arrow key to highlight Wake County Ju Jitsu Tournament.
You will need to set up an account to register, but it's super simple. If anyone has any questions they can contact the tournament director Ed Mutio at ed@waterworksunltd.net
or 919-669-6802

Any adults on here gonna compete in the Jiu Jitsu divison, just wondering? I may compete, nursing a few injuries at present time, but may jump in if there are some adults there.

So far we have a handful of school that have said they will be there with a group of kids to compete. I've had several adults saying they are interested in competing. I'll be checking the brackets online later today. If anyone has problems registering online or does not have access to a computer (therefore this message would be pointless!) then we'll take care of those folks at the door.

LOL

That was real good, that like someone asking over the intercom at Wal-Mart “Will the gentleman who lost his hearing aid please report to the customer service desk”

We got our six kids registered! Hope the turn out is good.

Guy, if we get there by 1pm will that be ok?

James, 1pm will be fine. We are not planning to start running any matches until 2pm since that's the info I sent out. Right know it looks like you guys, cornerstone (talked to kevin last night, and the fayetville group (talked to david sgro earlier in the week, one of his guys is suppose to bring a group of kids.) That's not counting any other groups that haven't contacted me personally. So, hopefully it will be a good turnout!

Yes I see that.

One time I was one with twister, and he beat me to a response and... you asked a question, I answered it, and mine was the next post on that day after the question, I even clicked back to the “Main Index” to see my listed next, but then the next day, Jason’s post was like a little before me and pushed mine back. Said the same thing and made me look like a “well” he must have had his computer on a different time, then mine or something????

Did you hear back from Emporia, VA?

Oh I liked your web site Guy, “Pendergrass Academy of Martial Arts” that looked real good.

The AAU event was great, though there was only two schools that showed up to support Guy and Rob. My School and Cornerstone Karate.

And yes after we ran all the divisions, we had two people who stepped up to the plate, for the absolute division Timothy "Superman" Leavy age 12, weight 106 and a brave 16 year old 150 pound guy from cornerstone karate. It was a great match. Too bad my daughter didn’t have the video camera ready, result to follow.

Oh the “Superman” Leavy thing was Guy’s Statement not mine.

Thought the tournament went well, even though there was a poor turnout. As james said there were only two schools that showed, not including three of my guys. There was several good matches and want to say thanks to All American Martial Arts and Cornerstone Karate for showing up.
And yes Timothy "Superman" Leavy was my idea. I like timothy style, very agressive and he's always looking for the tap!
