I know that you all cant do much to change this, but my only concern is the price of the tournament. The entry fee sounds extremely high. Is this a double elimination tournament? After competing in a few grappling tournaments and paying $50+ in entry fees and only fighting 1 or 2 matches in a tournament, I have started to stray away from the sport of submission grappling and just stick with wrestling.

Compared to other events of this level it is half price.
Sorry it doesn't work for you, we are doing two days so one could do no gi in one division and still do Pro since we ran in to that last year. Either way Happy Thanks Giving and wish you well.

Normally 10- 15 different teams competed in the Jiu Jitsu World Championships by Budweiser but one or two teams provided 110 or 90 of those competitors.
We are proud to announce without the strong prsence of any large teams, we reached similar numbers but multible times the purple and Brown Belt divisions, compaired to last year of like 5 purples. This year almost 2 in every weight class plus several Brown Belt weight class Matches.
The beauty of the Future of this event was not this, it was in the fact we went from 15 different teams to a remarkable 53 different Teams!!!!!! I hope this is an indicator of where this event by Budwiesr is going.

Steve,
Thanks man!
53 different teams proves it is not in the monoploy of one or two teams, this will grow. Last year I think 5 or so purples competed, and one brown and one black. We had almost every divison of purple with at least two in them. I was told that I dont actually see these things but I did visually see more brown belts compete this year 3x more than purples last year. It was a sucess. Next year is year 4. So things are getting better not only with the running but with our sponsor.
