Do you know when you were due to start? Is it "normal" looking to you or is there an odor or different color to the blood? Are you running any fever? If so, and if these seems wrong, you need to see a dr. - it may not be related to the sexual intercourse you had at all, and should not be left unchecked. It could be that your period came "early" and that is all - if you bleed for 5-7 days, like a "normal" period and it stops, then I wouldn't worry about it. I do want to caution you though, if you continue to be sexually active, there is a HIGH probability that you will end up pregnant. You are also risking contracting an STD, and some of those last a lifetime. The ONLY 100% effective b/c is abstinence (not having sex). It's actually OK to NOT have sex, and to set some goals for YOURSELF and focus on those. If your boyfriend TRULY cares about you, then he will respect that and agree that risking your future is NOT worth it. Author: Kris [Edit] Date Posted: 12:41:33 02/16/07 Fri Dear Blackgal, It sounds like your period suspended itself for a day - I don't think it was just a lapse - and I have heard of that happening before. Your period may stop if you take a bath or go swimming. You can get pregnant during your period - and still bleed - so if you did not use any protection (or even if you did) there is a risk that you're pregnant now. You would have to wait until you miss your next period though and take a test after that. Kris
