Dear Debbie,
I just posted a story about 5 posts down that is about a young lady that had a surprise baby, as she kept on having her period while pregnant. So, yes, it's possible.
Yes, wait until your period is done to take a test. Although, I would say it's more likely that you are not pregnant.
It may be best for you to see your Dr. about these irregular periods and possible pregnancy. There could be some horomnal imbalances that really need to be addressed.
The other issue is about you have unprotected sex. Are you trying to get pregnant? If so, you really should be in a fully committed marriage. As studies show children are much healthier when brought into stable relationships. You also know you are putting yourself at risk for pregnancy, and if that is NOT your goal, then by all means, stop having sex until you get married.
