Dear Krista,
I had two pregnancies that made me very very sick - like morning sickness all day and night for 9 months. I was even put in the hospital a couple times being so sick from it. My Dr. gave me some pretty heavy meds for it and I worried about the health of my baby with the lack of food and meds. She assured me that the baby was protected from the medicines and that it would also derive all the nutrition it needed from my own body regardless of my not eating.
I have heard of so many instances where the baby is just fine in spite of birth control pills, anti-depressants, and even marajuana use. The danergous drugs are crack, heroine, and alcohol. If you're using those, you need to stop (well, you need to stop any drug use), and you need to see a dr. to make sure you're taking care of yourself.
Use this opportunity to get healthy, to make a new start. Start eating right, walking, taking a good prenatal vitamin, etc. Stay away from the friends that are taking you down this wrong path.
Please call 1-800-395-HELP and see a counselor there for help with whatever you need - they can direct you to many social services and provide for all your needs.
Please also ask yourself why you are trying to escape your world with drugs and getting wasted. It can be hard to face things in life, but you aren't solving the problem with the drugs and all - it's only going to make things worse.
