Dear SusieQ,

Artifical hormones can do some weird things to our bodies (IMHO). It may take a while for your system to realize you sort of shut the switch off there on the hormones and all.

The other possibility is that your test was taken too early and the pregnancy hormone wasn't strong enough to show up yet. Did you use the first mornings urine and follow all the insturctions carefully? Are there any other early pregnancy symptoms going on?

You can get FREE tests at a pregnancy center. Look one up near you at this site:

Let us know how it's going.

I'm not familiar with the birth control you're talking about. Anytime changing from one birth control to another you have a higher chance of becoming pregnant.

There can be many reasons for a late period. Of course one of these being pregnant. Other possibilities are stress (worrying about being pregnant or just "life"), weight gain or loss.

The best thing is to call the dr or nurse who prescribed your birth control.

I'm sorry I can't answer your questions more complete. Anytime you have sex you have a chance of getting pregnant.

I know how hard it can be to wait. It's possible that it's too early for the test. Wait 2-4 days and take another test.

You can also get free test at Pregnancy Center They have a list of locations listed by state on their site. They have a toll free number you can call too.

Let us know how you're doing or if you have any other questions.

Hugs,

Heather
