Dear Alisha,
If you had sex, then, yes, you could be pregnant. Home pregnancy tests are very accurate though, so if you followed all the instructions carefully, you should have the correct results. Which would bring you to the place where you ask, "What else could be going on?" - some of the symptoms may be related to an STI - here's a list of the most common symptoms for STI's & STD's:
Common signs/symptoms of STIs
-Itching around the vagina and/or discharge from the vagina for women
-Discharge from the penis for men
-Pain during sex, when urinating and/or in the pelvic area
-Sore throats in people who have oral sex
-Pain in the anus for people who have anal sex
-Chancre sores (painless red sores) on the genital area, anus, tongue and/or throat
-A scaly rash on the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet
-Dark urine, loose, light-colored stools, and yellow eyes and skin
-Small blisters that turn into scabs on the genital area
-Swollen glands, fever and body aches
-Unusual infections, unexplained fatigue, night sweats and weight loss
-Soft, flesh-colored warts around the genital area
**I think it is important that you see your health care professional and try to determine what may be going on. Letting it go is not a good idea.
Take care of yourself please!
Hugs, Kris
