 Undang-undang bagi rakyat Malaysia beragama Islam adalah berhukum dengan hukum Allah (mengikut hukum syarak) dan dikendalikan okelh Mahkamah Syariah, dan bagi rakyat yang bukan Islam adalah mengikut undang-undang sivil yang sedia ada di kendalikan oleh Mahkamah Sivil sekular.
