• I got one cow in pasture that will chase everybody except me. If someone is close to me she will not bother them. A couple of years ago I took my son in law down the road with me. We had about 30 cows in that pasture, most all with calves. I said instead of penning them all lets just rope a couple and put them in the trailer. So we throwed out some hay around the outfit and roped one and put it in the trailer then got the second one. I told him, you trot on to the front gate and I will wait until you get the gate open and make a run for it while these cows are busy eating. He said what about that one cow. I said she aint gonna do nothing. We were about 700 feet from the gate. He took off on a hard trot and she spotted him and took off after him. Luckily he had 2 big oak trees about half way to the gate. Anyways, I had to come rescue him by putting the truck and trailer between him and the cow so he could get to the gate.
