Subject: My "Miracle"..Our gastroschisis BABY



Hi there, I'm a 23yr old mother of five. I came across all theses stories and thought that maybe mine would help give some strength and encouragement to not give up and leave it all in GOD's hands. At the age of 20 I was pregnant with my third child whom was diagnosed with gastroschisis at my 5th month of pregnancy. I was visiting the doctor every two weeks and having sonos every week after. At my 8 month check up, having my sono done I had to have emergancy delivery because my daughter's intestines were wrapping around. I went into the delivery room where I waited about 8hrs before I was actually placed in a room. Instead of them doing a emergency c-section they decided to let me deliver vaginal. Anyhow, my daughter was born dead........purple not breathing. The situation was horrible!!!!!!!! I was later taken to a room. After a few hours they came and got me to go see my daughter because she wasn't expected to live less then an hour after being resesitated and put on a ventilator. Seeing my daughter whom only weighed 4lbs with intestines covering practically her whole body, was really hard.......but I was happy to see her. Of course my family was there with me and we asked for a priest and baptized her. Now the docs had already said no matter what we tried she wasn't going to live. My daughter got baptized and my family and I just asked the MAN himself to please save my daughter. After 4 months of struggles and Doctors telling me to pull the plug constantly every day, and that she would only live to be nohting, I continued to have hope. My Daughter, "MIRACLE", came home. We were in and out hospitals for the next 2 years but I never gave up and my hope stayed as strong. I'm pround to say after her having seizures every 30 minutes and surgeries........My Miravcle is still living. She started school this past year and seems to enjoy it. She is the most happiest baby you could ever see. She will be turning 4 in just two more months and every morning i awake I thank God for showing me that MIRACLES do happen. Again.....I was told no more than an hour she would live and remeber to do nothing..not see....not hear.....not talk...no mobility.........................and you know what...........................THANK GOD.......CAUSE MY DAUGHTER DOES IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So If you ever have questions or doubt the best person to turn to is.............GOD, HIMSELF!!!!!

I wish you all the best of luck with whatever your situation may be and I pray for you all that God does Bless you with allowing years to come with your child or if it is his decision to take them home.........IT'S ALL IN HIS HANDS!!REMEMBER!!!!!!!
